The Agave plant, also known as the Century plant, has large and thick leaves that originate from a central point, creating a circular shape. The leaves of the Agave can grow up to 6 feet in length and 10 inches in width. The Agave plant is monocarpic, meaning that it will only bloom once in its lifetime. The flower stock can measure up to 40 feet tall with a yellow or green flower. The plant is often incorporated into a design as an ornamental and is popularly displayed in rock gardens.
